Of Caribbean descent, She was born in Paris to a musical family. She began dance classes at the age of five and would continue for more than twenty years, including a year at the Rick Odums International Jazz Dance Centre. She tried her hand at several instruments, such as piano, violin and flute, before setting her heart on classical singing at age fourteen. She served her musical apprenticeship when, aged sixteen, she joined one of the then most prestigious gospel choirs in Paris, the Gospel Chords Singers. Whether in musicals, concerts, albums, commercials, music videos or as a featured artist, Faby has performed alongside leading French and international artists such as Michael Bolton, Kelly Roland, Rod Stewart, Tina Arena, Céline Dion, Jessie Norman, Indochine, Thiéfaine, Cunnie Williams, Garou, Guillaume Canet, Laurent Voulzy, Gérald De Palmas, I AM, NTM, Didier Lockwood, Amel Bent, Micky Green, Louane, Dick Annegarn and many others.
New encounters followed with musicians in jazz, gospel and popular music, singers from many different backgrounds, actors and directors, leading to ensembles, groups and projects that would forge Faby’s experience.

Faby Médina also composes for film and television, including the single Femme, part of the original soundtrack for Yamakasi by Luc Besson.

Her greatest passion is, however, jazz, a music she has listened to her entire life. After studying piano and vocals at the Bill Evans Piano Academy. In 2001 she made a decisive encounter with one of the great names in jazz, Mr. Claude Bolling who revealed her as a jazz singer and enabled her to express herself fully in this music and became the lead voice of the Claude Bolling Big Band. We can listen Faby Médina on tour, at prestigious concerts and internationals jazz festivals.
